Day Services Team Lead

About the Role

As the Day Services Team Lead, you will oversee day-to-day operations of our day services program, ensuring safe, engaging, and meaningful activities for the individuals we support. You will lead and develop a team of support professionals, coordinate schedules and resources, uphold regulatory and quality standards, and collaborate closely with families, guardians, and partner organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, train and coach, and support a team of day services staff to deliver person-centered support and outcomes.
  • Assist with planning daily schedules, activities, and community outings aligned with individual goals.
  • Oversee completion and review of support plans, risk assessments, incident reporting, and documentation as assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and safeguarding requirements; champion a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Build positive relationships with participants, families/guardians, external professionals, and community partners.
  • Monitor progress towards outcomes; analyze data and feedback to improve service delivery.
  • Support behavior strategies and de-escalation approaches in line with individual plans.
  • Manage resources, equipment, and transportation logistics to support safe, inclusive access to the community.

About You

  • Experience in day services, community programs, disability services, education, or related social/health care settings.
  • Proven experience leading or supervising a team, with strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Skilled in person-centered planning, safeguarding, and outcome-focused support.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments and making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in scheduling, documentation, and basic reporting.
  • Relevant education or training (or equivalent experience) in social care, psychology, education, rehabilitation, or a related field.

Requirements

  • Ability to work primarily Monday–Friday daytime hours, with flexibility for program needs.
  • Successful completion of background and reference checks and verification of right to work.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between program sites and within the community, if required by the role.
  • Up-to-date CBRF certifications on the UWGB Registry relevant to the role and local regulations.

Schedule and Location

This is a full-time, weekday, on-site position based from 8:30am-4:30pm.
